PSA from the GCS Health Office - As we see an uptick in illness at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, we want to alert families to be mindful of the following: If your child is experiencing fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, please keep them home until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication. This practice will help limit the spread of contagious illnesses and keep our school community healthier. Thank you for your cooperation!

Due to limited dates available to both schools the varsity boys game postponed from today will be attempted to be played tomorrow 1/23 @ 6:00 pm. This obviously depends on the health of our athletes. If our players are not feeling better tomorrow we will explore other options to get the game in.

Last night was a great night of basketball on our home court! The lady Lakers battled from start to finish and although they fell short on the scoreboard the improvement this team has made shows in every game! Keep up the hard work ladies! The Lakers were led by Lakely St. Jean with 12. Maddie Clukey and Katie Hanson each chipped in with 6. The boys fought hard from the opening tip and never trailed in the game to pull off a well deserved upset over the Forest Hills Tigers, 52-47. The Lakers were led by Liam Mason with 23 and Landon Theriault with 22, including 6 baskets from 3 point range! Ethan Brown finished off the scoring with 7. Like the lady Lakers, these boys continue to work hard and show incredible improvement. These are fun teams to watch and I encourage all fans to get out to these games and pack our gym! We were also treated to two halftime scrimmages by our up and comping basketball starts in the Rec programs. Thank you to all who came out, our gym was rocking with Laker pride last night! Up next is a trip to the Cross Center in Bangor to take on Bangor Christian on Saturday 1/18.
